The Problem: Complexity within Chaos
The SGI (Integrated Management System) operated with legacy flows that needed to be adapted for a hybrid scenario (Mobile and Desktop). The challenge was to deliver practicality and fast access to critical data without sacrificing the rigor required for financial order execution.
Reducing Uncertainty through mapping and flows
Before moving to high fidelity, I structured the product narrative by mapping detailed sitemaps and navigation flows to validate the information architecture with stakeholders. I also developed a general flowchart to define critical user decision points such as Login, Fund Verification, and Order Generation, ensuring the primary path remained as fluid and efficient as possible.
Hierarchy Strategy: Craft Applied to Clarity
I optimized the information hierarchy by utilizing side menus and modals to ensure secondary data did not compete with core market and order execution tasks. The interface was tailored for high-density visualization on desktop while prioritizing visibility cadence on mobile through expandable components. To accelerate the workflow, I implemented a Floating Action Button (FAB) that placed highest-value actions, such as generating orders and sharing data, just one tap away.
Result and Consequence
To ensure technical sustainability, I developed a comprehensive component library and documented interaction states (normal, hover, click, and error), ensuring the system functioned reliably in real-world scenarios rather than just within "ideal world" prototypes. Ultimately, the project delivered an interface where aesthetic quality was a direct consequence of rigorous trade-off criteria between risk, time, and operational efficiency.
